Strategy consultant
MA Women's Studies (Monash); MSt Jewish Studies (Oxford)
Rebecca spent the first 25 years of her career working as a Jewish adult educator and as a curator/exhibition manager at the Jewish Museum of Australia and several major Victorian cultural institutions. In 2010, she landed her dream job as Director & CEO of the Jewish Museum, where she led a period of creative revitalisation and organisational development. While in the role, she commissioned two of the most popular exhibitions in the Museum’s history, and spearheaded the establishment of Multicultural Museums Victoria – a strategic alliance of Melbourne’s culturally-specific museums. Following her tenure at the Jewish Museum, she held a position as Associate Professor (Practice) in the Faculty of Arts at Monash University, and then embarked on a new career as a strategy consultant in 2022, working for a firm that has a specialist focus on the education and research sector. Rebecca is a co-founder and former Vice President of the Jewish Climate Network, a former board member of NCJWA Vic and Chair of Trustees of the Bernard Lustig Memorial Scholarship. She is the mother of two primary school-aged boys, a role she finds both challenging and delightful and which she shares with her partner of over 20 years, Debbie.
