My Biography

Mai is 27 years old and lives in Melbourne, Australia. Her background proudly boasts a history of active Zionist and religious involvement, having participated in the Bnei Akiva youth movement from the age of 9 to 17, alongside volunteering for a number of community organisations including KKL-JNF during her schooling years. After completing high school at Mount Scopus College, Mai served for three years in the IDF as a combat soldier in the Search and Rescue Brigade before returning to Australia to complete her bachelor’s degree in international Relations and Journalism at Monash University. Throughout university, she was involved in executive positions in the Australasian Union of Jewish Students (AUJS), including President of her campus branch. In 2022, she completed the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) and B’nai B’rith IMPACT: Emerging Leaders Fellowship, through which she won the opportunity to represent B’nai B’rith at the UN Human Rights Council. In March 2022 Mai addressed the UNHRC on the topic of anti-Israel bias and rising antisemitism in the Diaspora. Mai currently works for the Zionist Federation of Australia (ZFA) in the Public Affairs and Communications role and also works for the United Jewish Education Board (UJEB), teaching Hebrew and Jewish Studies to Jewish students in elementary public schools and currently sits on the Keren Hayesod-UIA Young Leadership Executive in Melbourne.
