Rebecca Davis is a freelance journalist, writer, podcaster, MC and speaker. Until recently, Rebecca was Senior News and Features Writer and Weekend Editor at Mamamia, Australia’s largest women’s media company. From fiery opinions pieces to in-depth investigations and features with a focus on domestic violence, mental health and antisemitism, Rebecca is passionate about telling stories that move, affect change, and make women (and other underrepresented groups) feel seen. Rebecca is also the founder and host of podcast, The Good Edit: Gritty Conversations with Jewish women. The space celebrates the stories of a diverse array of Jewish women, as they share how they’ve crafted a life – on their own terms. As former Features Editor and News Journalist (2017-2021) at The Australian Jewish News, Rebecca uncovered rife allegations of gender discrimination in Jewish communal organisations. Her sustained reporting of antisemitic bullying resulted in a government inquiry and mandatory Holocaust education for all Year 9 and 10 Victorian state school students. Areas of Expertise: – Jewish Issues – Antisemitism – Jewish Issues/Israel in the Media – Women's Issues.
