Social Scientist, Jewish Communal Researcher, Adult Education
BA (hons), Dip Ed., MA, PhD
I am a Research Associate at the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies at Brandeis University, Boston, USA and a Research Affiliate at the Australian Centre of Jewish Civilisation, Monash University, Australia. I am also the Associate Editor of Contemporary Jewry. I enjoy quantitative and qualitative research and sharing findings with those upon whom they impact. I continue to be fired up by the mystery and wonder that is Jewish connectedness; what inspires it, what it means for people, how it shapes their self-concept and how they engage with others. I am passionate about Jewish education, but ponder individual and communal agency, and the extent to which passion empowers people to take charge of the trajectories of their Jewish lives.
