Practicing Artist PhD,
I am an artist and educator. I have a focus on sculpture and public art, alongside interior design. My work and research engages with remembrance, I am the daughter of a Hungarian born Holocaust survivor, I work with unconventional materials and focus on materiality, scale and space to bring private remembrance into Public art spaces of museums, and I have ben commissioned to make the Glen Eira City Council Integrated Holocaust memorial for the Elsternwick precinct in Selwyn St. My work has been shown locally, nationally and internationally since 1989 and my work is represented in most Australian Public Art Collections, I have been the recipient of numerous grants and residencies from the Australia Council and Creative Victoria and The Besen Foundation. I have a sound/sculpture archive of my research. My work is represented by Anna schwartz Gallery in Melbourne and Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery, Sydney. I have been Head of Fine Art at Monash University, MADA and have had a focus on supporting women in leadership. I am currently on Artist Board of The Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney and have been a board member of Gertrude Contemporary Art Space and advised Daniel Besen about the CAP (Collingwood Arts Precinct) space in Collingwood.
